Knitting holder from the 19th century from Genoa with original ecru fabric, structure in carved walnut essence and patina.

But what is a knitting holder?! Women once had to stay at home to look after their children and, between the eighth and ninth heir, they had to find the time to provide sweaters, dresses, even bathing suits for their children and therefore they knitted. And where to put the ball of yarn, the needles and the sketched t-shirt? In the work bag, of the most varied shapes and materials, still known among the most avid knitters.

Ours can be opened for use, in excellent general condition in the structure, some stains on the original fabric.
