Antique chinoiserie furniture
Sideboard – Paris – Circa 1930s – Painted Chinese lacquer wood and worked brass.
Rattopennugo is lucky enough to empty the furnishings of an ancient Parisian hotel, from which this antiquity comes.
Antiquity from Paris and from around the 1930s, when Europe (and perhaps not wrongly) thought that the greatest example of elegance in furnishings belonged to the millenary oriental culture.
In red lacquer on wood with painted scenes of daily life in gold and other colours, with figures in handpainted wood (please note the details) which are almost more reminiscent of China than Japan.
Exceptional dimensions, guaranteed capacity thanks to the doors with internal shelves and the central drawer that opens by folding, maps and door closures in hand-worked brass.
Minor wear and tear and lack of lacquering which Rattopennugo, in agreement with the Customer, intends to restore, no breakages. With restoration the price become €. 1500. The written one of €. 800 is restoration excluded.
Antiquity full of charisma that does not go unnoticed.
Imagine it as a sideboard, cabinet or why not?! even as a bar cabinet…
