Antique shell plate
Parade plate - Italy - 19th Century - Silver-plated metal.
The parade plates were already originally a cult object among collectors: of course, they were exhibited during the great ceremonies, but, for the rest of the time, they were exhibited in the owners' houses. The more beautiful and opulent they were, the more important the collector was.
Ours is hand-embossed (as you can see from the workmanship on the back) in silver-plated metal, found in Italy and about 1800s.
Large dimensions, perfect proportions, unusual shell size.
Wear and beautiful patina that has colored our antiquity with a gray full of shades over the centuries, in overall excellent condition.
Transparent support of photos not included in the price.
Please, indicate the name of the object in the form. If you're reserving this article for a wedding list, tell us the name of the couple too. Thank you!
