Portrait painted in oil on canvas, from France and around the end of 1700.

The subject dressed in elegant clothes and a wig is suggestive: it depicts the architect Giacomo Isman, designer (as can be seen from the hand holding the compass) of Duke Francesco I d'Este.

Proud and pleased look, the Latin writing reads approximately: “Giacomo Isman, architect of Duke Francesco I, and ... of the Emperor; he died at the age of 60 on December 22 in the year 1735."

Good hand of the artist, great charm, the price considers the absence of the frame.

Small bump on the bottom left, but no breaks, painting in excellent overall condition.
