Collectible objects these wax cameos: Nordic tradition, there are museum examples from the 1600s.

Ours comes from the magical Wunderkammer (more than Wunderkammer, we would say Wunderzuhause) that we cyclically continue to empty: Germany, the very early 19th Century, full Empire Era.

It portrays a gentleman in profile in sculpted wax and set in its original round case gutta-percha frame in patina.

Mounted on a blue velvet, trimmed with original gold paper trimmings.

Countertop, good condition: small cracks and inaccuracies on the frame, unfortunately cameo spun in several places, but which the price absolutely considers it.
