Pair of metal bookends in black patina depicting Homer in the typical iconography attributed to the poet.
Germany, 1800s.
Note the design on the base: a pan flute is intertwined with a key and a ribbon, to underline the wisdom and musicality of the Greek Cantor.
Wear and patina, but no breaks, overall very good condition.
The measurement is for one bookend only, the price for the set.
