Antique Gallè table lamps
NOT AVAILABLE
Pair of table lamps – Nancy, France – Around the end of 1800s – Polychrome cameo glass paste – Emile Gallé Manufacture – Signature on 1 of the 2.
Very rare.
Let's be clear: Emile Gallé, the very famous glassmaker and decorator from Nancy (France) who was among the first in Europe to understand the artistic potential of this material, was, and still is, a superstar and his works have very different prices and they are exhibited in museums around the world. Therefore, the lamps we propose are by Emile Gallè (one of the two is even signed) but they belong to the type of furniture most accessible to everyone, a design for which Gallè supervised and gave his approval, but he did not actually create it. We repeat, the price, otherwise, would be much different.
In polychrome glass paste with floral motifs, one in more ocher tones and the other more in blue, excellent condition, small wears, but no breakages, as always guaranteed electrical system.
New lampshade created in yellow fabric with double purple piping.
The lamps are sisters, but not perfectly twins: one of the two is slightly more rounded and tall, but they were certainly created together.
The price is for two, not sold individually and the written size is with the lampshade inserted.
