Half Hull Antique Dinghy
NOT AVAILABLE
Half hull - Genoa - 1900s - Wood and slate.
All nautical and seafaring antiquities are traditionally subjects of the most inveterate collecting, so Rattopennugo is very happy to have emptied the study of a Genoese maritime broker.
And, among the many gems found, this half-hull on a slate plate stands out, which depicts (as the wording says) a Dinghy.
Dinghies (in Italian "A Drift") are small-sized sailing boats that are not cabin cruisers and are often also used for competitive competitions (centerboard).
Charles II of England, in the 17th Century, as a tribute to celebrate his return from exile, received a boat with similar characteristics that he used to use for competitions and pleasure.
Italy, 1900 century, in carved and painted wood.
Excellent condition of the sculpture, chipping of the slate slab at the bottom right.
To hang.
