Small ancient Chinese floral decoration
Small vase – China – 1900s – Structure in gilded bronze and cloissoné – Fruits and leaves in polychrome hard stones.
Let's face it: how beautiful are useless things?!
The vase we propose today is Chinese, from the early 1900s and represents a floral vase, perhaps a model for the creation of a life-size sample.
Please note that on one side of the jar are depicted an amazed shrimp, a chopstick case and a hot Ramen-like soup, but Chinese.
Gilt bronze, turquoise and semi-precious stones, cloisonné technique also known as Luster of Byzantium (here are some more technical notes: https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cloisonn) in short, a true exercise in style for the Master Craftsman who created it.
Wear and patina, but practically perfect general condition, no breaks.
Please, indicate the name of the object in the form. If you're reserving this article for a wedding list, tell us the name of the couple too. Thank you!
