Brace holder - London - Queen Victoria Period - 1800s - Painted tin and brass.
English brace holder from 1800, Queen Victoria Era.
Tinplate, with traces of a graceful floral painting on the opening front panel which houses a removable compartment with a handle. Here the embers from the fireplace were collected and then emptied.
Rear hook for hanging, brass handle for carrying.
Note the machined brass hinges that "speak" English so much!
Wear and patina, rust in some small areas that in any case do not spoil the charm of the object (on the other hand we are talking about 150 years ago!)
Measures with rear hook included.
