Antique painting portrait of a mother with children
Oleography - Italy ? - Liberty Period - Early 1900s - Not original frame.
One of the happiest subjects for this large painting: a sweet mother looks directly at the viewer, and, raising one hand, recommends not making noise and not waking up her two children asleep in an armchair.
Italy (or perhaps England for the chromatic choices) certainly early 1900s, Liberty Style.
The technique is among the most popular of that period: oleography which, in short, is a print on canvas to simulate oil painting.
Not original gilded frame.
Small tears on the canvas and shortcomings which the price absolutely consider.
Note the capitonnè armchair in red velvet and the greenish background that echo the splendor of the English Pre-Raphaelite Period.
