Box containing 16 hand-painted glasses useful for making the magic lantern work, an ancient device which, thanks to glasses painted with different scenes, spreads images in the room. A kind of hologram ante litteram.

France, early 1900s, slides depicting various characters, wear and patina, but no breaks.

Truly collectible antique object, retaining its original box.

Each glass measures approximately cm. width 22 x height 7.
