Mirror - Murano, Italy - Art Nouveau Period - Early 1900s - Etched mirror.
Large Art Nouveau mirror, early 1900s from Murano, Venice, Italy.
The chosen technique is typical of the historic glassworks of the Venetian lagoon and of the Art Nouveau Period: small shapes of worked and acid-etched glass to create a decoration then applied to a rear wooden slab to harmonize its shape.
Nice dimensions, rear wood replaced over time, breakage and old gluing in the lower frieze (photo) which the price absolutely takes into account.
Incredibly chic.
