Ancient Italian Still Life

Still Life painting - Italy - Early 19th century - Oil on canvas - Original frame gilded with gold leaf.
We at Rattopennugo adore still lifes! And, after a long search, we managed to find one: Italy, early 19th century, oil on canvas.
The artist's technique seems particularly "felice" (just note on the left the torchon glass goblet with wine that creates this play of different transparencies) also for the chosen colors: the dark green streaked with dark gray in the background, almost in imitation of marble , the pearl gray of the tray, the scarlet of the drapery all the way to the right and those touches of the brush so confident and spontaneous that create the different textures of apricots, grapes, cherries and medlars ...
So: whoever painted it really knew their stuff and was certainly inspired by the Great Flemish Masters.
Signed top right, unfortunately illegible and the price consider it.
Great dimensions that make it easy to place anywhere, some wear and patina, but the canvas is healthy and in general really good condition, even the frame.
Also to look carefully at the original gilded frame with gold leaf with the bole (to make it simple: layer of red color which, when the gilding is ancient, can be glimpsed in some points) that makes this unique one even more fascinating decorative element.
Measures with frame.
The charming antiques.
