Ancient English Dollhouse
Dollhouse - England - 20th Century - Wood, paper, painting.
Let's start by saying that the antique Dollhouses are not just for children, but collectibles.
We are proud that after a long wait, it has finally arrived in our small shop: coming from England, large in size, difficult to date, but certainly 1900s.
With this poetic wisteria that climbs from the front door, it reminds us a little of the famous home of Bedford Gardens in London, in the magical district of Notting Hill, the setting for a thousand and more films.
In various materials, note the details of the open rear part that reveals the interiors: from the facade with the brass house number (16), we discover the parquet floors all created with different techniques (but you have carefully looked at the herringbone one?!) internal staircase in carved wood that connects the ground floor to the first and finally to the attic, the fireplaces (one more rustic in the kitchen and one more elegant upstairs) the various balconies, the external gardens with plants and the gravel of the flower beds , the "rosone" window of the attic and we could continue like this for quite a few lines ...
The details make the difference.
Missing pieces of furniture (only 1 more recent armor is present) but here comes the fun and you can indulge yourself ...
Usura e patina, ma condizioni praticamente perfette.
Sooooo rare.
