Large ashtray, circa 1930s in "pulegoso" crystal.
The "pulegoso" glass or crystal is full of bubbles obtained by introducing a substance capable of producing the development of gas bubbles into the molten mass. The technique was developed in the 1920s by Napoleone Martinuzzi at Venini glassware.
It can also be reinvented as a pocket emptier or simple bowl.
In terms of aesthetics, this object can be traced back to the historic Seguso glass factory in Murano, still active since 1397!
