Boulle with ancient winged putto
Mirabilia – Germany – Empire Period – Early 19th century – Crystal, brass, mother-of-pearl and white coral.
Never seen before object, truly from Cabinet de curiositè: crystal sphere edged in brass with a ring on the top that makes it hangable.
But the real rarity is what is inside: a perforated and worked mother-of-pearl background, unfortunately with a rear thread and a winged cherub's face in white coral.
Germany, early 1800s, Empire Period.
