Antique French Chandelier
Chandelier – Paris – Second half of 1800 circa – Second Empire period – Gilded bronze and green enamel.
Chandelier that summarizes the elegant and sober aesthetics of the era to which it belongs, the Second French Empire (from 1850 to 1870 approximately).
Gilded bronze friezes and arms, green enameled metal structure. 6 lights that make it very bright.
Note the frieze decorations which depict both the typical acanthus leaves and the laurel wreaths so dear to Napoleon.
The chandelier is perfect, it just needs to be re-electrified, work that is amply reflected in the price.
