Ancient coin display

Coin display - Germany - 1732 - Colour ivory lacquered wood - 8 drawers.
Big monetiere (coin display) withdrawn from our very tempting German Wunderkammer.
But what is a "monetiere"? Objects now collectibles, they are chest of drawers that vary from the smallest size to the oldest in the Renaissance Era that reach Trumeau measurements.
Mainly they were wallets: having not yet invented the pocket variant, they were cabinets in which the coins were gathered, precisely, of the species of safes or chests that kept the money of the rich owner.
8 drawers, tiles decorated on the sides and on the top, date painted in a bright red, 1732.
Drawers that open with their original knobs always in worked and painted wood.
Patina due to age and use, but truly object that preserves all its indisputable charm intact.
Sooooo rare.
