Holy water stoup - Genoa - Louis XVI Period - End of 1700s - Lacquered and gilded wood.
Genoese stoup entirely in carved wood and gilded with gold leaf.
Back also in wood in red lacquer with original patina, Louis XVI period, around the end of the 1700s.
Note the workmanship of the sculpted cherubs and the "grasso e pieno" gold.
Wear and patina, excellent overall condition.
