Card holder - Milan, Italy - Approximately early 1900s - Broggi Manufacture - Worked silver.
Let's face it: the rich used to be bored! But it is also true that without their boredom (and a little narcissism) we would not have objects like the one proposed…
Card holder in worked silver, circa early 1900s.
The workmanship is among the most refined: the structure depicts a triton emerging from the water and at the upper end of which we find a shell into which tickets are inserted.
Signed by the Broggi Manufacture, historic Milanese luxury silversmiths, active since 1818.
Patina and wear, but really excellent overall condition.
It will be useless nowadays, but an object full of charm and history.
